When thinking about starting a home based business – according to Home Business Coach Andrew Reynolds, you need to ask yourself some serious questions:
- Are you a self starter?
- Do you like making decisions – or do you prefer someone else to do it for you?
- Are you comfortable working lone (if not – get a mentor in the background who you can call on)
- Are you basically self-confident?
- Are you a person who would prefer not to have to report to a ‘Boss’?
- Are you willing to work harder for yourself, when you need to, than you would for someone else?
- Are you willing to learn – to take classes if necessary, to study new areas, to perfect your business skills?
- Do you believe that you can be a success with your home based business?
- Do you desire more financial freedom and a lifestyle to match?
According to Andrew Reynolds, who himself started a business in his little spare room at home and went on to pull in over £50Million, you don’t need to be particularly well educated in the traditional sense. “I failed many subjects at school – and left there with 4 O levels including woodwork and drawing – so you don’t have to be a genius to start a home based business. I am hopeless at Maths and even now know very little about how accounting works. In my business, which I teach others how to copy, I buy something for £50 and sell it for over £800. Even the thick lad like me, who went to school on the local council estate can make a profit out of that!” smiles Andrew Reynolds.
There are also so many different types of home business you can start. At Andrew Reynolds own Bootcamp events, that he holds for Charity – he brings in a whole cross section of speakers to talk about their businesses and how they make money working from home.
Your home based business could be almost anything – from selling DVDs like Andrew Reynolds does, to selling odd quirky items on eBay.
